B_ODGETT

Megan loves to go to the Paint n' Stations in Oklahoma City http://www.paintnstation.com/.  The last time we were there John and I saw large letters.  We thought it would be really fun for each of us (Kyleigh, Megan, Holly and John) to paint two letters and hang them in the entryway.

The first weekend the girls were home together this summer we went and painted out letters.  The had all but the L.

As always Megan had a great time, she loves artsy stuff.  Kyleigh on the other hand really didn't care to much for it.  She did her two letters, with some help, but was more interested in playing the games on the  iPhone.

San Francisco day 1

John and I went to San Francisco for our honeymoon/summer vacation.  It was such a great trip, the weather was cool, the food was wonderful and there was so much to see.  We both have gone to San Francisco before but it was really enjoyable to go at our own pace and see what we wanted to see and always the time we got to spend together.

The first day we got to the touristy stuff right away. We walked from Pier 1 all the way to Pier 39.  We did not plan on walking all the way the first day but as we kept walking we realized it was not all that far, 30 minutes later we were at Pier 39 and ready for dinner.  We had a great dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.  After Dinner we walked back to our hotel and stayed in for the night.

UNO, Bears and Dinosaurs!!

This weekend was the first weekend both girls have been home together this summer.  We still did things during the weekends Megan was home but its just not the same without both girls.  We had a lot to make up.

We started out weekend by taking a trip to Build-A-Bear.  It does not matter how many times the girls do they love going there.  They get to pick their "bear" watch some one put the fluff in and then pick clothes for them to wear.  Its always a sight to watch them pick the clothes.  Its easier to pick the "bear" some days then the clothes.  In the end both girls were happy with their picks. Megan choose a strawberry bear who is wearing a t-shirt and skirt.  Kyleigh had to have the Sprocket dog (dachshund) who is wearing a Tinker Bell fairy costume.  Its funny to see a dachshund with fairy wings.

After Build a Bear we thought it would be fun and cool, because it was way over 100 degrees with weekend, to go to the Sam Noble Museum.  It was Kyleigh and my first time to go.  She loved it!!

Megan is such a great big sister and wants to make sure Ky is safe and loves to keep an arm around her.
Kyleigh spent a lot of time looking up!!

I think this was and is Megan's favorite part of the Sam Nobel Museum.
She loved the map.  She would walk some where and "read" us what it said about that spot.  It was great.  She still has the map in her room.

We ended both days by playing UNO.  Playing UNO can be fun but add a four year old and its a laugh out load experience.  Kyleigh got the idea of UNO but was very happy to tell John and Megan that we have lots of the color at hand.  Every time it was out turn she made John and I laugh.

We had a great weekend and John and I were happy to have both girls home at the same time.

Meet the Blodgett's part 5 and last (John)

I am pretty sure John would like me to keep his age to myself so lets just say he is older then me by a few years ;)  John is a wonderful caring man and I am very blessed to have him in my life and even more blessed to have him as my husband.  John is a wonderful father and there is nothing he won't do for the girls.  He is such a great role model for the girls as to what a father and husband should be.  I am very lucky to have found such a wonderful person.  I also think he is very handsome man I love looking at him.  (Im sure John will blush just a little when he reads this)

Meet the Blodgett's part 4 (Holly)

Do you really want to know how old I am?  It seems silly to start out with my age but because I love birthdays and have no worries about getting older, I AM 32!! Well,  I'm pretty sure I'm 32.  I can never keep up with my own age, I can tell you everyone else age in our house but mine slips my mind way to offten.  I can't wait until I'm 70, I'm sure I really won't remember it then.  Hopefully that will be the only thing I can't remember :)

Me...hmmm...what do I say about my self? Yes, this is just too hard.

Meet the Blodgett's part 3 (Megan)

Megan is 8 and will be turning 9 in October but thinks and acts like a teenager.  Which means we will have our hands full when she is really a teen. But she is such a good girl that we may just luck out.  She is such a joy to have around and is missed A LOT when she is gone, the house is not the same without here.  So much life is brought in by her.  She is full of knowledge and is such a bright girl.  I lover her as if she was my own.

Megan at 8 going on ??

In August Megan will be starting 3rd grade.  Its going to be a fun year for her.  We are not sure who her teacher will be, seeing as they have added 2 new teachers to the 3rd grade.

When she grows up she wants to be an architect and plans to go to OU or OSU, all depending on who gives her the most money.  (her plans not ours)

She love to do crafts, if its crafty she wants to do it.

She loves clothes and seems to love to shop as well.  Her favorite places are Justice and Old Navy.

She is beginning to read chapter books and seems to really enjoy them once she starts.

Loves to sing

Loves to dance (she takes dance during the school year)

Loves animals

The Old Car

I few months ago we went to Wal-Mart and we parked by an orange Ford Edge, it looked just like the one I drive, just not near as cool.  For what ever reason Kyleigh is convinced that we drove off in the other car. At random she will start talking about how she liked our old car, but our new car is good too.  Today was no exceptions to the missing of the "old orange car"

As we were driving home she starting talking about how she liked the old car.  So I asked, for clarification because there are several old cars, "which old car is that?"  Her response, with a come on you should know tone, "the one we left at Wal-Mart!" Then she kept talking about how she liked the old one and the one we have now is good too.  The icing and new addition to this conversation "My miss the suckers in our old car"and  "My really loved those suckers"

Meet the Blodgett's part 2 (Kyleigh)

Kyleigh is the youngest and she turned 4 the beginning of June. Life with a 4 year old is never dull particularly one that is very dramatic and can cry at will. She is only 4 and I am already thinking how she will act when she is 14, I know that is 10 years away but its going to sneak up on us. First we need to make it through pre-k before I worry to much about the teen years.

Kyleigh at her birthday party. For 6 months she said she wanted a kitty party at the park. That is what she got.

Kyleigh at 4

Will be starting pre-k in August. I'm not sure how much she will like going to school at first but after a while I'm hoping she will look forward to going.

She plans to be a doctor when she grows up

Loves her dogs and cat.

Enjoys books

Plays outside when ever she can

Is always singing

Is always wanting to help

Like to "just be with you"

Is full of sassiness. (Which is cute now)

Is full of love.  She love to give hugs and kisses.  Her favorite are group hugs and will get John and my leg and "yell group hug".

We always have to drive by Ralph and Cathie's house, John's parents, so she can yell "hello Ralph and Cathie's house".

Love the pool as long as her face is dry.

That is Kyleigh in a nut shell.

Meet the Blodgett's part 1 (the pets)

I thought I would share who we are and bit by bit how our family has come together but what is a family with out the 3 dogs, the 16 year old cat and 3 fish (there are 3 today).

Bailey, Ginger and Buster

I will start with the oldest and wisest of the pets; Buster.

Buster is very easy going until he is low on water. When he discovers he is low on water two things will happen. If we are lucky he will lay by the water dish and wait for someone to fill it up. The second, and not so lucky, things is he yells and lets the whole house know he is upset about something, even if it's the middle of the night. The first time this happened I thought he was hurt. Yu also have to watch him when you are eating because he will come and steal things off your plate.

Buster is a very sweet cat and loves to sit on your lap and most days really loves the other dogs.

He also loves the kids some days :)

Sprocket! Sprocket loves to kiss any one that he can get close too. He has never meet a stranger and loves to get under the blankets. Kyleigh loves Sprocket and Sprocket love Kyleigh. If he had is way he would sleep with her every night.

Bailey keeps our yard free of birds and squirrels. She runs them off and one of these days she is going to catch one and bering it to the back door. She is another loving dog and is always happy to get in you lap when you are sitting.

Ginger love to play in the water. She goes crazy if the sprinkler is on and she has to stay inside. She almost always has a toy with her. She spends her time walks around batting at her toy balls while having a toy in her mouth. It is a sight but can be very entertaining at times.
